This course consists of 12 lectures taught at Notre Dame during the spring semester and a 6-week session at Imperial College London from late June through the beginning of August. Students perform standard chemical engineering laboratory experiments and write signifcant reports that match the requirements of the on-campus CBE 31358 “Junior Lab” course. They also spend two-weeks working in the carbon dioxide capture pilot plant process. This and a unique “hands-on” fabrication experience “rig building” have content that match a three-credit, advanced level chemical engineering lecture course.
